Hi everybody,

I am T.Milan Marday a second year marketing student at Durham College which I am having a lot experience both academic and recreational activities in previous semesters and still going on to better enhance myself. My short term goals is to finish my diploma and do my bachelors while working part time to earn some money. I do have some strength and weaknesses which make me the one I am right now with still to experience and grow. My long term goal is to focus and keep dedicating myself to open a  construction company or being able to create a marketing department in the business of my parents back home as its been running for long time.
Base on my experienced in life I had some oral presentations to do for example for the Cambridge High School Certificate where you had a 5 to 7 minutes of speech and also being in sports and in the music filed I had some interview with audience and some journalist in some special events. Being here in in Durham College taught me another way on how to really look upon on presentations especially in this class where we talks about how to communicate properly in the business world.
Along the course I had the opportunity to have some presentation where I could express myself to people to make myself clear and understandable as am an international student and am in a completely different area where I used to be at ease.
Firstly, I might want to start by saying that feedback at first was important but also very mixed and gave some very contrasting assessments on the oral presentational in all. For instance, a few classmates expressed that eye to eye connection was poor all through most of my oral presentations, but however a few others negate this.  Again this is clear with the clearness and volume of our discourse.  From my opinion I should really work out on the eye contact to improve my communication skills to be better in the business world. For this I made some quick research on how to improve eye contact during presentations because avoiding eye contact can be disrespectful, disinterest or also social phobia. (Mueller, 2016). By improving my eye contact during my oral presentations will surely help me to bring my uniqueness more easily and can be more a serious candidate with nice posture for a job interview for example.
